Angle Brackets

Angle brackets ( < > ) are used to enclose words. In coding and web design, they are used to enclose a line of code.

HTML

HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language, and is one of many widely known and used coding languages.

HTTP

HTTP stands for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol. It is the underlying protocol used by the internet to define how messages are formatted and transmitted.

Tag

A tag defines a piece of code using angle brackets. A tag is opened by simply writing the desired code in between the angle brackets ( < > ) and closed by writing that same code with a backslash ( < / > ).
